We started out with 9 trucks. After the first hill we were down to 8 trucks. Andre, who was a visitor on the trip, destroyed a rear uni joint. A couple of the other visitors thought what we class as an easy trip wasn't quite what they had in mind! Still we got them up the hill with no real dramas!

After that we headed over to the power line track. The first hill was the one made famous our last trip up there when Brett said "she's wet and sloppy up here" and Glen replying, "what about the track?"..!!

After a few goes I gave it a red hot go in 2nd gear and with a few numbers I got up. Brett and Glen nearly made it but were dragging diffs. John John and his mate Steve went up but all the others went round.

After that we headed to the Pipeline. A couple of different tracks were available. I went right and went up. Brettie followed but didn't quite make it, so we threw in a couple of rocks and got him up on the easier bit where it then went wrong. While trying to drive a side angle on a rock the GQ slid sideways and had a gentle lay over and considering he was taking a new girl friend out probably wasn't the best way to impress her! What made it worse was it did fall on the passenger side.

Once recovered and the spring re-installed we were on to the next track up near the lost city. The track has 2 options with a hard or easy option. Troy, Glen and Adrian took the easy line and the last of us went up the hard option. Steve and Andrea had to be snatched up, the rest of us made it up. The 3 that took the easy option decided to call it a day and headed home.

The remainder went over to Ranger Bob and had a play. After that it was on to one last track for the day. Nothing exciting apart from a jeep (not on our trip) getting stuck on a easy downhill section of track right in front us while trying to check out what was ahead of him. Steve snatched him back up the hill.

After that it was back to Zig Zag carpark to air up and discuss damage and when do we chop up Brett’s wagon into a ute! It was a good day had by all. Apart from Brettie’s quarter panel, front guard and roof.

Cheers, Charles.
